Sharing your faith can feel intimidating. The fear of rejection, saying the wrong thing, or being perceived as pushy keeps many Christians silent. But the Bible calls every believer to be a witness—and it does not have to be awkward.

The Foundation: Your Life

1 Peter 3:15 says: 'Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' Notice two things: people should see something different in your life that prompts questions, and your response should be gentle, not aggressive.

Share Your Story

Your personal testimony is one of the most powerful evangelistic tools you have. No one can argue with your experience. Structure it simply:

- Before Christ — What was your life like before you knew Jesus? What were you searching for?

- How you met Christ — What led to your decision to follow Jesus? Was it a person, an event, a realization?

- After Christ — How has your life changed? Be honest—not everything is perfect, but what is different?

Know the Core Message

Be able to explain the Gospel simply:

1. God created us for relationship with Him.

2. Sin broke that relationship.

3. Jesus died and rose again to restore it.

4. We receive this gift through faith.

Practical Tips

- Listen more than you talk. Ask good questions and genuinely care about the other person's story.

- Don't argue. You are a witness, not a lawyer. Share truth with love and leave the results to God.

- Be patient. Most people do not come to faith through a single conversation. Be willing to walk alongside someone for months or years.

- Pray. Ultimately, conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit, not our persuasion. Pray for the people in your life and for opportunities to share.

As St. Francis of Assisi is often quoted: 'Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.' Your life should be the first sermon people see.
