The most important question any person can ask is: How can I be saved? The Bible answers it clearly and simply.

The Problem

Every human being has sinned. Romans 3:23: 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' Sin is not just doing bad things — it is falling short of God's perfect standard. We have all lied, lusted, envied, and acted selfishly. Sin separates us from God, and the consequence is spiritual death: 'The wages of sin is death' (Romans 6:23a).

The Solution

God did not leave us in our sin. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty we deserved. Romans 5:8: 'But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.'

Jesus — fully God and fully human — lived a perfect life, died on the cross as our substitute, and rose from the dead three days later, proving that death has been defeated.

The Response

Salvation is a free gift, not something we earn. Ephesians 2:8-9: 'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.'

To receive this gift, the Bible calls us to:

1. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again (John 3:16).

2. Repent — turn away from sin and turn toward God (Acts 3:19).

3. Confess Jesus as Lord. Romans 10:9: 'If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'

A Simple Prayer

If you are ready to receive Christ, you can pray something like this: 'God, I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sin and place my trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life. Amen.'

This prayer is not a magic formula — what matters is the sincerity of your heart. If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you are saved. Welcome to the family of God.
